About

Lucy Wentworth is a singer-songwriter hailing from the quiet town of Ramsbottom, Lancashire. Lucy wrote her first song in high school because, as she puts it, “there were no songs that described how I felt”. The song that followed was crafted from elements of the artistry and lyrics she had heard in the songs of American country greats like Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw – musicians that her Michigan-raised father had played to her as a child. Lucy’s all ready broad horizons broadened even further when she reached University, where she studied popular music, under the wing of Dr. Pete Dale. Out of the genres she studied she took a particular liking to rock music – especially its moodier subgenre “Emo”. This led to her combining the timeless Nashville Country sound with Emo influenced lyrics, resulting in a style that can only be described as “Hillbilly Emo”. With this unlikely combination of influences under her belt, Lucy’s songwriting features the love and heartbreak of country artists like Taylor Swift and Brandy Clark, while also covering the heavier topics of mental health and broken friendships found in emo rock songs by Jimmy Eat World and Phoebe Bridgers. Lucy has a lot of personal anecdotes to share, and it is these stories that are often the initial
sparks to the songs she writes.
She released her first album Tales From a Parallel Universe to all major streaming platforms in 2017, which features open-mic favourites Nobody’s Business and Devil On My Shoulder. After writing for two years straight, Lucy is gearing up to release her best work yet – her sophomore album, Midnight Conversations. She has already released the first single from this project: Mistakes. Mistakes is available across all major streaming platforms and the album will be available later this year.
Midnight Conversations will feature even more fan favourites Her and Drink No. 5.

Music available across all major streaming platforms.
